Webmaster Sought www.lpma.net
LPMA is currently looking
for a member webmaster to take over this website. Former Newsletter editor,
Criag Maumus, MD has been hancling this task on an interijm basis and would
like to step down. The candidate should have some writing skills and shoul have
some experiences with websites and supporting software, but need not be
proficient in HTML os some of the more technical aspects of managing a website.
Technical assistance can be provided.

Newsletter Gets Honorable Mention
Award
The LPMA Newsletter received an Honorable Mention along with
three other mid-size district branches in the 2000 APA Newsletter of the Year
Awards. The Kentucky Psychiatric Association received the top award. Juliana
Fort, MD, the new Newsletter editor, would like to congratulate Charlene Smith,
Assistant Editor and Executive Director, (who has been with LPMA since 1974),
and Wendy L. Schneider, Layout Editor for the past two years, for their
contributions to producing this award-winning newsletter.

Contributions to the LPMA Newsletter are welcome. Both personal
and professional items of interest in written or photograph form are sought.
Every effort will be made to preserve the spirit and intent of the author when
it is necessary to shorten or edit an article. Author's opinions do not
necessarily reflect the official opinion of the Louisiana Psychiatric Medical
Association. Letters to the editor and responses to those letters are also
welcome.
